The regular meeting of the Davison Township Board of Trustees was called to order by Supervisor Tim Elkins at 7:00 pm. The session began with the approval of the agenda and previous minutes, followed by the review of the Treasurer’s Report and Board Bills for August 2019.

A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to the "Blankenship Repaving Public Needs Hearing." The Board initially considered a project costing $380,000, with a proposal for the township to contribute 18% ($68,400). However, following extensive public testimony from numerous residents who expressed strong opposition to the special assessment, the Board voted unanimously to decline the petition and not create the special assessment district.

Additionally, the Board approved resolutions to remove specific landlocked parcels from both the Fire and Police Special Assessment Rolls. The Board also approved several personnel hires for the Planning and Parks departments and passed multiple budget amendments to address OPEB liabilities and infrastructure needs.

• Blankenship Repaving Rejection: Despite a proposal to fund 18% of a $380,000 repaving project, the Board voted to decline the special assessment district following heavy resident opposition.
• Special Assessment Corrections: The Board approved resolutions to remove 9 parcels from the Fire Special Assessment Roll and 8 parcels from the Police Special Assessment Roll due to their landlocked status with the City of Davison.
• Personnel Changes: The Board approved the hiring of Kris Allinger as Planning Assistant-Code Enforcement Officer and Blake Harris as a full-time employee for the Parks Department.
• Budget Adjustments: Amendments were approved for OPEB liabilities, street maintenance, and parks capital outlay.
