The Davison Township Board of Trustees convened a special meeting on October 8, 2020, at the Township Municipal Center. The primary focus of the meeting was the approval of a landscape design proposal for the Veterans Memorial and the adoption of a resolution to apply for a security lighting grant for the Kurt & Marge Soper Nature Center.

In addition to new business, the Board received updates on several township infrastructure projects. These included discussions regarding stalled driveway replacements on Lippincott Blvd., drainage issues in the Phillips Drain, and erosion management on Gale Road. The meeting concluded with a brief update on the progress of absentee ballot processing.

• Landscape Improvements: The Board approved a proposal for the Veterans Memorial involving concrete removal and the installation of new pavers and LED lighting.
• Grant Application: The Board approved a resolution to participate in the Risk Reduction Grant Program to fund lighting at the Soper Nature Center.

• Estate Gardening & Landscape Design Proposal: $19,350 (includes 150 square feet of concrete removal, Unilock Beacon Hill installation, an 8% discount, and three LED landscape flag pole lights).
• Project Budget Context: The Board had previously approved up to $30,000 for the memorial project; the current proposal addition increases the total project cost by $1,850.

• Lippincott Blvd. Driveways: Supervisor Elkins will attempt to find a new company to complete the driveway replacements during the current season.
• Gale Road Erosion: Supervisor Elkins is working to secure a 3-year contract to address soil erosion as requested by the county.
